These are some of my better gesture sketches from this term.  Done anywhere from 1 - 3 minutes.

3 minute life drawing poses.  I have more but I can't quite figured out how to scan pencil sketches correctly.  These are done with a Sharpie so they scan better.

Vehicles

Did these for the school blog.  The prompt was something ID since we will be starting Industrial Design this year.  Never draw cars or much of anything with hard surfaces so it's something I really need to do more of.

Kinda screwed up the colors on the big boy so I just put them together in grayscale.

Alien (heavy type) line

Here another line sketch of an alien from the same race/clan as the one before.  He is the "heavy" type, more bulky and slow moving but extremely powerful.  I am doing this because I want to practice designing multiple characters that look like they fit into the same species/world.  I would imagine this is important in the industry. :)

Alien line/color

Okay so I wasn't really happy with the last post of this guy.  I feel too much was indicated and I wanted to really understand what he looked like and how his legs functioned.  So I tried a different technique using a line drawing.   This one is better and pretty quick in terms of time to complete.  Let me know what you think.  Thanks for looking!

Tried to come up with an interesting design for the alien sketch I did.  I like the idea of him having a mechanical lower body.  I plan on coloring this one.  thanks for looking!

Flamer paint WIP

I really failed the first couple times I painted this guy.  So I wanted to go back and give it another shot this time more painterly.  Probably still spending too much time in certain areas but I wanted the head to be a little more detailed than other parts of his body.  I am about an hour in and this is as far as I've gotten.  I'm going to try bigger blocker strokes for the rest of him so hopefully it won't take much longer.  I really want to get him painted in no more than 2 - 3 hours.

started working on this tonight... It's some form gate to another world or dimension.  The peeps walking towards are in a trance, sort of being sucked in.
