Very nice drawings man. Drawing this way is a great setup for a long drawing but it tends to stiffen the pose imo. You might try breaking some lines so the form isn't completely closed.
I see what you're saying but we do quick gestures almost daily at the school so I want to really study the whole form while at life drawing. Maybe it's just my crazy ass way of learning I dunno.
